Abstarct: Abstract Background: Cardiovascular Disease is one of the main causes of death worldwide. Heart disease is a disease that affects the heart or blood vessels. Arterial stiffness is a predictor of heart disease. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of combined exercises with cocoa consumption on arterial stiffness in overweight and obese adult women. Study method: The present study is a semi-experimental type with random distribution of samples, which was carried out in the form of pre-test-post-test with a control group. 32 adult women with BMI more than 25 were selected by purposive sampling method and divided into four equal groups. 24 hours before and after the end of the intervention, the arterial stiffness test was taken from the subjects. Combined exercises were three sessions per week for eight weeks. The cocoa consumption group and the cocoa consumption and daily exercise group consumed 10 grams of dark chocolate at a certain time in the morning. Data using SPSS statistical software and tests... were analyzed. Findings: Arterial stiffness and leg cardiovascular index (CAVI) as well as ankle-brachial index (ABI) were changed in the chocolate consumption group, the combined exercise group, and the chocolate consumption and combined exercise group compared to the pre-test and the control group. Conclusion: Sports activity, especially combined exercises with cocoa consumption can reduce arterial stiffness in overweight and obese adult women.
